Do you regularly brush your teeth? Well, that's a good habit and hygiene that everyone should follow. But wait, do you think that even if you brush regularly, you won't face any dental issues? Well, if so, then you should know that the answer to this question is the condition of your toothbrush. For instance, if you brush at least twice a day with a new toothbrush, you should know that the efficiency of the toothbrush will reduce within three months of regular usage. We know that the toothbrush should always have soft bristles, and if we talk about the latest toothbrushes, then all of them have soft bristles. The benefit of having soft bristles is that it can deeply and easily clean your teeth without harming your gums. But the next thing is, soft bristles are efficient but not powerful, means after a regular usage they will start tearing off, and so, as a result, you won't get proper cleaning of your teeth.
Now the question comes, how long should I use mytoothbrush? Well, in that case, the answer depends upon the usage of your toothbrush. That means, if you brush twice a day, then you may have to change your toothbrush every 3 months. Also, if you do brushing only once a day, then you should do that in about 4-6 months. But in either case, you need to check the condition of your toothbrush.
In simple terms, if your toothbrush is not of good quality, it won't last long for 3 months as of a daily twice usage. And so you may have to change the toothbrush even before 3 months. The same applies if you do a brushing once a day, then there are cases that you need to change the toothbrush even before 4-6 months, maybe within 2 or 3 months.
Also, if you're suffering from any kind of dental problem, then you should change the toothbrush every month. As going with the same toothbrush may invite more diseases and bacteria to your mouth, which is never suggested.
And now if you think why replace the toothbrush every 3 months? Then you should know that:
· If you do not replace the toothbrush, it will invite more bacterias, form the plaque, and decay your teeth.
· If someone in your family is sick, it is always recommended that you should replace your toothbrush along with everyone else.
· Changing a toothbrush in a regular interval of time means that you're eliminating the spread of germs.
· If the toothbrush is rough, then changing it is the best solution else, it will harm your gums and often lead to bleeding.
· And if someone else has used your toothbrush by mistake, it is highly recommended that you should not use that brush anymore.
So if you want to keep your mouth and teeth healthy, and have bright teeth, you should regularly change your toothbrush.
